Take a Sick Day with Classic Recreations
To celebrate 4/27, the unofficial holiday for Shelby fans, official Shelby continuation car builder Classic Recreations lent its latest Shelby model, the 1967 GT500CR Classic, to professional race car driver Ariel Biggs. Take a cruise across Mulholland Drive and the PCH with Ariel as she skips work and has a little fun in this 427 powered pony.
The new GT500CR Classic Shelby Mustang offers the iconic aesthetics of the original 1967 GT500 Shelby Mustang with modern amenities such as rack and pinion steering, race-inspired coil over suspension, oversized disc brakes and more. All Classic Recreations vehicles are handbuilt at its facility in Yukon, Oklahoma.

The Classic Recreations takes the Shelby GT500CR to SEMA 2010. Competing this year in the Optima Ultimate Street Car Invitational the Shelby GT500CR did really well without one hiccup from the engine or chassis. I had a nice 67 mustang gt350, an emergency panic braking situation, put me in touch with an innocent tree. What I can't understand why people would spend a large amount of money on a relic, when the same money can get you a modern car, that drives like a dream, is not going to rust away and has parts that are readily available?
So one bad experience makes you think its all bad? Let's hope you are world champion in everything else ... if not I guess you will start miss liking A LOT! :P Haha :P

@@gitarbrettet, try to understand. old cars are OLD cars that when compared with new cars are obsolete and a danger to drive. But hey, who am I to tell you what to waste your money on. I also had an AC 427 Cobra, and after having the front end inspected by a pro, the front ball joint let go, and the tire wound up rubbing the front fender burning off the paint. I understand those care are close to a MILLION dollars to buy. Yet you could get a Mclaren instead that would beat the AC on any track in the country, But hey, it's an AC that was very fast IN ITS day and so it's worth it? I'd rather get ANY Mclaren than any old car that now can't get out of its own way. Joe Magnets

Beautiful car. A true classic. Now make it for under 100k and I'm interested. prices are ridiculous and made only for the very wealthy, and out of reach for 99% of the average person, which then just makes the car just a looker, Which is sad.
